The valedictory function of the 13th Diploma Course of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education, India was held at Dharmakshetra at 8.45 am on 15 May 2010.The All India President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Shri V Srinivasan , the chief guest at the occasion,
lit the lamp of wisdom together with Shri J V Shetty, Central Trust Member, Shri Indulal Shah and other dignitaries on the dais,
as the hall vibrated to vedic chants by the Bal vikas children.
The District President of Mumbai,Shri Nimish Pandya welcomed the august gathering, reiterating that the Avatar was here to make us
realize our inherent Divinity and not to make us followers or devotees.God has come down to transform everyone on a one to one basis
and we have been assigned the role of a squirrel in His Divine Mission.He said the significance of the Institute entering its 13th year
reflected the great energy levels,vision and enthusiasm.The presence of the All India President was to give fillip to the Institute
that had stepped into its teens.He also welcomed Shri J V Shetty, Member of the Central Trust, and Shri Ramesh Sawant,
State President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation,Maharashtra and Goa,and Shri Vijay Bhaskar,Convenor.
Dr Pitre,Directior of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education,India gave a deep insight into the 45 day course, stressing on the
different methodologies adopted to make the course meaningful and effective.At the end of the course, the students gained mainly from the
gurukul system,that exposed them to different aspects of Educare.The culmination of the course was the presentations made by the students
during the last week.
Three participants of the Diploma Programme,Ms Vasudha,Head Mistress Sri Sathya Sai Vidyavihar,Hyderabad,Shri Vinod Kumar,Bangalore
and Shri Jagannatha Nadiger, Easwaramma School, Davangere, Karnataka shared the impact of the 45 day course on their lives.The revelation
dawned on them that they were indeed the chosen ones of Bhagawan and the role they had to play in the Divine Mission.They were in unison
that the conclusion of the Diploma course marked the beginning of a new phase in their lives.
The All India President in his address emphasized the need for us to elevate ourselves to a higher plane of existence.He cited
Indubhai as a perfect role model of one who is in the world and yet not in it.He likened him to King Janaka,a karmayogi who does not
compromise on anything while accomplishing tasks.He said that ‘Educare’ was the greatest gift of Swami to mankind.Bhagawan’s system was
holistic,driven by aspirations of selfless love.He prodded one and all to radiate love everywhere, to all creations and at all times.
He stressed on the need to practice Educare primarly in our understanding and then in our relationships.No one was incapable of Seva,
which is practice of love.He paid glowing tributes to the Bal vikas teachers who were path breakers in the field of Educare.Over 50000
students who were part of the Sri Sathya Sai schools were the most unique resources and the need of the hour was to transform these
schools into centres of excellence so as to spread the love of Sai.He announced the setting up of regional centres of Institute of
Sathya Sai Education at Shimla, Kodaikanal and Navsari.He declared that ‘ Sai Net’ to be launched soon, will serve to link every centre
on an all India basis and all schools so as to supplement the pedagogy.
Shri Vijaya Bhaskar, State Trust Convenor proposed the vote of thanks.The students were blessed with the diploma from the hands of the
All India President,Shri V.Shrinivasan and the ceremony concluded with the valedictory song and Divine Aarti.
