With Bhagawan's Immense grace and Bountiful Blessings, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Maharastra & Goa has been accredited with “The Spirit of Humanity Award – Women Health Category”. The award has been conferred by Americare India Foundation, an International Medical Non Governmental Body having its roots in United Sates of America. They are active in the field of Medicare Services for Charitable Cause in over 140 countries. The Award Recognizes Outstanding Efforts in the field of Medical Services undertaken to Serve the Humanity. Award Nomination was invited from Reputed Charitable and Social Service Organization in eight different categories.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Maharastra & Goa filed its nomination in three different categories;

1. Child Nutrition - Poshaka Aahar (Protein Food Supplements)

2. Woman’s Health Care -Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialties Rural Medicare(Women & Children)

3. Jury’s Choice Category – Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Medicare, Maharastra & Goa

Sri Sathya Sai Organisation, Maharastra & Goa was short listed for two categories, that is, Child Nutrition & Women’s Health and finally won the Award for Woman’s Health Category. This was a recognition for efforts made in alleviating the pains and sufferings of Village Women by supporting them in getting the Super Specialties Medical Treatment through Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialties Rural Medicare Program.

Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialties Rural Medicare is an Integral Project under the Sri Sathya Sai Village Integrated Program active across many Villages in Maharastra.

The Core Objective of Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialty Rural Medicare is to Provide Free Super Specialties Treatment to the Economically Weak persons especially Women & Children without having a Super Specialties Infrastructure. The entire system works with the tie up with the Philanthropic Hospitals, Doctors and Surgeons having intentions of serving the Mankind. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization (SSSSO) identifies needy Patients at various Medical Camps & Medical Centre organized under Sri Sathya Sai Village Integrated Program. Preference is given to Women & Children who require specialized treatment and are not in a position to afford the treatment.

On Recommendations from office bearers from Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Maharastra & Goa; these Hospitals, Diagnostics Centers, Doctors & Surgeons provide their Services to few patients totally Free of Cost. Sri Sathya Sai Organization Pays for Medicines, Specialized Equipments (Heart Valves Etc) and Post Operative Care in some of the cases and Sevadals to take care of the Patient. This Collaborative effort provide is appreciated by not only the Patient and the Hospitals, who need direction and reference for their projects under the Corporate Social Responsibility.

SSSSO, Maharastra & Goa also focuses in creating awareness amongst village women on the well being of the mother and child from medical aspect, social aspect, spiritual aspect, nutritional aspect and superstitions/side effects of conventional treatments.

Salient Features of the Project.

Sri Sathya Sai Super Specialties Rural Medicare. is a novel approach in providing Super Specialties Treatment and Surgeries to economically weaker section like Women and Children (free of cost).

It is a Hospital Facility with out the actual four walls of a hospital catering specially to women and children’s medical requirements under SSSVIP program.

It is a Platform through which the Women/ Children across Villages in and around Mumbai get an access to Super Specialties Medicare Treatment.

SSSSO Ties Up with Philanthropic Hospitals and Doctors by organizing Seminars and Conferences at State Levels; sensitizing them about the need to address the inaccessibility of specialized Health Care to certain section of the society , especially Women and Children.

Parallely many Women Volunteer across the state of Maharastra have been trained to join for creating awareness amongst the Women folks in the adopted villages.
