Durga Homam at Chandrapur

A two day programme on “ Durga Homam” was conducted at Sri Sathya Sai Seva Kendra, Chandrapur on 13.06.2010 and 14.06.2010. Devotees from near by villages Kauthi, Warora, Itolhi,wadgaon, Bhadravati witnessed the function and performed the Homam with full devotion and gaiety. The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Kendra was recenly inaugurated in Chandrapur and the devotees were more than happy to perform the Durga Homam in their new Sai Centre.

As per schedule the Homam started at 8.30 am sharp on 13.06.2010 and Pundits from Hyderabad and Chandrapur performed the rituals by doing Navagraha Puja, Kalasha Sthapna, Durga Homam ( Havan Puja) and continuous chanting of mantra “ Aum Sarva Mangala Mangalye Shive Sarvardhike Sadhiye, Sharanye Trayambake Gauri Narayani Namostute” by doing kumkum puja.

All devotees also chanted Vedas, Narayanopanishad, Narayanasuktam, Durgasuktam, Durvasuktam, Medhasuktam and Mantrapushpam on both the days and ended with Bhajans and Aarthi to Bhagawan.
