Durga Homam, Kavathemahakal, Sangli District

By Bhagawan's overflowing Grace, Sangli District in Kolhapur zone performed the Durga Homam in Kavathemahakal samithi. The entire Sangli District was geared to perform the two day homam. On the first day it started at 8:30 a.m and went on till 6:00 pm. All those who were present there were encouraged to come and perform the homam. The chief priest Shri.Mahesh Narayan Joshi had got all the details of the sequence of performing the Homam from Shri. Sharad Chandra Bhat from Mumbai, who had been assigned the responsibility of guiding all priests from all over Maharashtra taking part in the event.

Other supporting priests were Shri.Anesh Vaman Pendase, Shri.Avadhoot Mlind Arjunwadkar and Sri.Yogiraj Vasant Joshi. The zonal coordinator for Kolhapur zone, Shri. Murali Jajoo was present on June 14th and took part in the Durga Homam and chanting. Around 60 people took part in this unique event and felt blessed that they could be a part to this prayer being held at various places in Maharashtra.
