Thane District celebrated Sri Durga Maha Yagna at Sindhu Youth Circle Ulhasnagar on the 13th and 14th June 2010. Devotees from Mira Road, Thane, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan, Ambernath kept the spirit going for two days. Various slots were allotted to each samithi for chanting of the mantra “Aum Sarva Mangala Maangalye..”.Arrangements were made for devotees to sit comfortably and perform kumkum archana to the lord while the priests chanted vedic hymns and performed sacrificial oblations to the sacred fire.

The program commenced at 8:30 am on 13th with the Kalasha Sthapana after which the Homam continued amidst the chanting by devotees  .The second day program continued in the same manner as the first and concluded with Poornahuti at 6:00 pm. After that bhajan commenced with Mahaprasad to the devotees.

All those who attended were extremely satisfied and basked in the Bliss showered by the Lord.
